The first hotfix, explained
The developers watched launch-day runs and responded to the demo's biggest complaint — score zones. Their own writeup of the trade-offs:
- Balls were landing in White (−50%) zones "far too often", with runs ending as early as the first stage.
- Options they considered: soften the penalty (−25%), replace White zones with neutral ones, or move to a cleaner 0% / 50% / 100% spread.
- What they shipped: replace one White zone with a Yellow zone — reduce the frequency, keep the tension.
- Their stated position: "This isn't necessarily the final version of the system."
The same patch fixed a subtle trap: the More Moves Ticket previously only raised your maximum piece moves — now it also grants the moves immediately. And a Discord link was added to the title screen.
What is next (per official statements)
- Tutorial overhaul — top priority. "The current tutorial relies heavily on text… improving the tutorial and in-game guidance… is our top priority."
- Controller support — planned for a future update.
- Bitcoin ball rebalance — "planning to adjust it".
- More dialogue and character content — "on our queue" for the full release.
- Score zone system — still being tuned; feedback open.
